Janata Dal (United) president Sharad Yadav on Sunday dismissed speculations that his meeting with TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu was to discuss the idea of a third front for the next elections.
Talking to reporters after meeting Naidu, Sharad Yadav said that they had discussed the prevailing situation in Andhra Pradesh over the bifurcation issue. He blamed the Congress-led UPA Government for the uncertainty in the state, and said that the announcement of the state's division was made in a hasty manner that triggered protests in other regions of the state.
Justifying the Samaikyandhra agitation, Sharad Yadav demanded that the Centre take immediate steps to resolve the ongoing crisis in the state. (INN)
