A day after meeting BJP president Rajnath Singh, TDP president N Chandrababu Naidu called on JD (U) chief Sharad Yadav in Delhi on Sunday.
Although Naidu claimed that the meeting was regarding the issue of the bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh, analysts say that Naidu wanted to convey a clear message among political circles that he is open to all options in the next elections. By meeting Rajnath Singh, Naidu made it clear that the BJP was not "untouchable", and by meeting BJP's former ally JD (U), he has signalled that he might even go along with the proposal of a third, or even a fourth, front.
Talking to reporters later, Naidu blamed the Congress for the present instability in AP. He said that the Centre must speak to the JAC leaders of both Telangana and Seemandhra to address their concerns.
He said he was seeking the help of Sharad Yadav in pressurising the Centre to resolve the ongoing crisis in Andhra Pradesh.
The TDP chief said that he would not meet any Congress leader in the visit, since it is the ruling party that created a rift among Telugu people for political gains. (INN)
