Shankar Rao Welcomes Rahul Gandhi's Candidature

Shankar Rao said that Rahul Gandhi has become a "matured politician" and that his candidature would draw the youth of the country towards the party.

Former Minister Dr. P Shankar Rao on Monday welcomed Congress' move to make party vice-president Rahul Gandhi the Prime Ministerial candidate for the next elections.

Speaking to media persons at the Assembly media point here, Shankar Rao said that Rahul Gandhi has become a "matured politician" and that his candidature would draw the youth of the country towards the party.

He said that the Congress party has a long history of serving people and addressing their needs, and it would do well under the leadership of Rahul Gandhi.

Condemning BJP senior leader M Venkaiah Naidu's criticism of the Congress party, Shankar Rao said that a leader accused of encroaching Dalit lands has no right to criticise "our party". (INN)

This Shankar Rao is a publicity monger. Why do u publish news about what this man says.

Either nothing else is happening in Andhra or u r not compitent to collect news what is happening in and around Hyderabad

Totally agree. All politicians are shameless but this guy Shankar Rao is just about pits. He scrapes bottom of the barrel. Stop giving him the platform to spew his idiocy.
