Chief Minister Revanth Reddy today exuded confidence that the Congress-led INDIA block would come to power in the Lok Sabha elections and that Congress leader Rahul Gandhi would take oath as the Prime Minister of India on June 9.
Addressing a farmers' meeting at Wayanad in Kerala, the Telangana CM said that in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, the contest was between two parivars in the country - the Modi parivar which had the ED, EVMs, CBI, Income Tax department, Adani and Ambani, and the INDIA parivar that included Indira Gandhi, Rajiv Gandhi, Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi, Priyanka Gandhi and the Wayanad family.
The CM said that former prime ministers Indira Gandhi and Rajiv Gandhi had sacrificed their lives for the country, and that Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi had both sacrificed the post of Prime Minister.
Claiming that he was surprised at seeing the role of Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan's family members in gold smuggling, Reddy alleged that Vijayan's family was clearly involved in large-scale corruption but Prime Minister Narendra Modi was not taking any action against them.
"Even though ED and income tax cases have been registered against Vijayan's family members, Modi is not taking any action against them. Vijayan has a tacit understanding with Narendra Modi. That's the reason that the Prime Minister is silent on Vijayan," Reddy claimed.
He also alleged that hundreds of Christians were killed with the support of BJP leaders in Manipur and neither Prime Minister Narendra Modi nor Union Home Minister Amit Shah visited the State, but Rahul Gandhi had met the victims.
