Former Minister, Dr. P Shankar Rao, on Monday, accused Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy of causing damage to the Congress party in the state.
Talking to reporters in Hyderabad, Shankar Rao pointed out that as many as 17 MLAs, 2 MPs, and 16 senior leaders have quit the Congress party after Kiran Kumar Reddy took over as the Chief Minister. He alleged that the Chief Minister has tarnished the party's image in the state, and that there would be no aspirants left for the ticket during the next elections.
Accusing Kiran Kumar Reddy of acting as per his whims and fancies, Shankar Rao condemned the
dismissal of D L Ravindra Reddy from the State Cabinet. He demanded that the Congress High Command should take stock of the situation, and intervene immediately.
Shankar also demanded a high-level enquiry into the GO issued on Red Sanders during N Kiran Kumar Reddy's tenure. (INN)
