The Communist Party Of India on Tuesday urged immediate regularization of the land in Survey Number 124, NTR Nagar, Serilingampally mandal.
According to CPI activist Lakshman, the people currently residing there had bought the land in 1989, and were settled there. He added that the residents have voter ID cards, ration cards and electricity connects, for which they are regularly paying bills.
However, when they approached the Mandal Revenue Officer to regularise the land, their pleas fell on deaf ears, he said.
He urged the Deputy Collector and Mandal Revenue officer to regularize the land and provide relief to the residents.
