The number of BRS MLAs joining the Congress is increasing by the day. So far, nine BRS MLAs have joined the ruling Congress.
On Saturday, in yet another jolt to the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS), Serilingampally MLA Arekapudi Gandhi joined the Congress, in the presence of Chief Minister Revanth Reddy at the latter's residence in the city.
The Chief Minister formally welcomed Gandhi into the Congress fold by presenting him the party scarf.
Along with the BRS MLA, a few corporators, including Nagender Yadav of Serilingampally, Uppalapati Srikanth of Miyapur, Manjula Raghunath Reddy of Chandanagar and Narne Srinivas of Hydernagar, and scores of leaders from the constituency, joined the Congress.
There is talk in the political circles that some more BRS MLAs and MLCs are ready to join the Congress soon.
