TRS polit-bureau member and spokesperson Dr. Dasoju Sravan joined the Congress party here on Saturday.
Two more prominent leaders - TRS Greater Hyderabad president Kattela Srinivas Yadav and Minorities Cell president Abdul Mallik - also joined the Congress party on Saturday in the presence of Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee president Ponnala Lakshmaiah.
Union Minister Jairam Ramesh, former Deputy CM Damodar Rajanarasimha and AICC-SC Department Chairman Kapil Raju were also present on the occasion.
While welcoming these leaders into the party, Ponnala immediately appointed Sravan as TPCC's Chief Spokesperson.
Speaking to media persons later, Sravan claimed that only the Congress party could ensure social justice in the Telangana region.
Accusing the TRS of being a family party, he alleged that TRS leaders gave tickets to individuals who worked against the formation of Telangana during the statehood movement. (INN)
