Senior Congress leader V Hanumantha Rao today called on Chief Minister Revanth Reddy at the latter's residence.
PCC working president Mahesh Kumar Goud himself took VHR to the Chief Minister.
VHR's meeting with the Chief Minister assumes significance. He recently expressed displeasure at the Chief Minister for, he claimed, not giving appointments to the party's long-time leaders, and also found fault with Reddy for offering party tickets to leaders who had joined the Congress from other parties.
Moreover, VHR, who has strongly aspired for the party ticket for the Khammam Lok Sabha constituency, is also said to be worried that he will not get a ticket.
Fed with the party leadership, he has been staying away from party activities for some time.
Upon learning of the grievances of VHR, the CM asked Goud to invite the former to meet him. Goud swiftly escorted VHR to Revanth Reddy.
It is being reported that the two leaders talked about party matters, and that the Chief Minister assured VHR that justice would be done to him in the days to come.
