TPCC president A Revanth Reddy today condemned the attack on Wednesday night on the residence of the veteran Congress leader V Hanumantha Rao in the city by an unidentified miscreant.

He also spoke to VHR over the phone about the incident.

He demanded that the police provide proper security to VHR and other Congress leaders.

He also demanded that the police take stringent action against the culprit.

Former minister and party leader D Sridhar Babu too asked the State government to provide security to VHR and punish the accused.

Meanwhile, the police claimed to have nabbed the person who pelted stones at the residence of VHR.

He was identified as Siddarth Singh, a native of Uttar Pradesh.
