The effects of the recent increase in the number of protests over various issues in the Telangana region is now being witnessed in the other two regions in the state.
The recent days have witnessed protests over APPSC, lawyers posts in the Judiciary, misbehaviour by police officials, and so on.
The lawyer's protests, demanding a quota in Judiciary posts for Telangana people, witnessed some unpleasant scenes. This has given a chance to Seemandhra students to raise their voice against the protests.
Coastal Andhra and Rayalaseema districts, which have been relatively quiet during these tumultuous times, are now gearing up for protests of their own.
The Samaikhya Andhra Students Joint Action Committee (SASJAC) had called for demonstrations on Sunday in universities in Andhra and Rayalaseema regions, from September 21st, to protest against
lawyers' behaviour during their protest.
The SASJAC call is widely believed to be an attempt to match the increasingly strident voice of the Telangana protagonists.
SSJAC co-convener Krishna Yadav said that the Seemandhra students have been requested to hold protest programs in all the universities of the two regions.
Krishna told media persons that the students have also been urged to hoist the Samaikyandhra (Unified Andhra) flag on September 22nd.
Krishna Yadav also charged Home Minister Sabitha Indra Reddy of being biased towards Telangana.
