YSR Congress Party deputy floor leader Shobha Nagireddy on Wednesday called for unity among the legislators from Seemandhra region to keep Andhra Pradesh united.
Speaking to media persons at the Assembly media point, Shobha Nagireddy said that the efforts to divide the state were foiled in 2009 due to the unity among Seemandhra legislators.
However, she said that such a unity is lacking this time.
She said that the State Reorganisation Bill could be returned to the Centre if all legislators exhibit unity among themselves.
Shobha Nagireddy said that the YSRCP has been opposing the bifurcation of the state since beginning and that other parties are also supporting this stand now. (INN)
