Government chief whip Gandra Venkata Ramana Reddy stated that the process of taking the views of the State Legislative Assembly on Andhra Pradesh Reorganisation has been completed on Thursday.
Speaking to media persons, Gandra referred to the announcement of Assembly Speaker Nadendla Manohar wherein he stated that the Bill has been tabled, debated and almost all members expressed their views orally or in written.
Gandra said that a majority of MLAs who spoke on the Bill are in favour of division of Andhra Pradesh and that the process of debate on the Bill has been successfully completed.
Gandra thanked Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh, AICC president Sonia Gandhi, vice-president Rahul Gandhi and other leaders for ensuring the successful completion of another process required for Telangana formation.
He said that he hoped that the next session of the Assembly would be convened in the state of Telangana.
He strongly condemned the behaviour of Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy with regard to the State Reorganisation Bill. (INN)
