Telugu Desam Telangana Forum convener Errabelli Dayakar Rao on Thursday strongly condemned Speaker Nadendla Manohar for accepting and passing the resolution against the State Reorganisation Bill.
Speaking to media persons here, Errabelli said that by accepting the notice given by Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy, under Rule 77, seeking rejection of the Bill meant for Telangana formation, the Speaker has brought disrespect to his position.
He said that the Speaker's move has reminded the people of his father Nadendla Bhaskar Rao who dethroned N T Rama Rao to become the CM.
He alleged that the Speaker repeated the history at the Chief Minister's instance for his own political gains.
Errabelli said that the way the House was run by the Speaker on Thursday is unconstitutional and arbitrary.
He said that the Speaker and the Chief Minister would be forced to take political "sanyas" after the next elections, as people would teach them a "fitting lesson". (INN)
