Congress MLC K R Amos, on Wednesday, asked leaders from Seemandhra to accept the fact that the formation of Telangana would be a reality in the near future.
Speaking to reporters at the Congress Legislature Party office, Amos said that Seemandhra leaders should stop "misleading" the people of their region by giving them false assurances that Andhra Pradesh would remain united.
He claimed that the process of bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh is nearing completion, and that therefore, Seemandhra leaders must make representations on the new capital and seek packages for the development of their region.
Amos said that the Group of Ministers (GoM) was not constituted to protect the interest of the Seemandhra region, but that it was done so to formalise the formation of Telangana. (INN)
