Hundreds of Seemandhra employees on Friday staged a dharna in the Secretariat premises, in protest against the Union Cabinet's nod to the Telangana Bill draft.
The Seemandhra employees, who assembled near L-Block, demanded that the Centre withdraw its decision to bifurcate Andhra Pradesh. They also slammed the Union ministers from the region for remaining mute to the entire process that culminated in the Union Cabinet approving the draft of Andhra Pradesh's re-organisation. They appealed to the people to unitedly opposed the Centre's move and stop state's division.
The employees also took out a protest rally from L-Block to C-Block in the Secretariat premises. (INN)
