Taking a serious note of the security breach at Assembly premises during the District Selection Committee-2008 teacher aspirants agitation on Saturday, Speaker Kiran Kumar Reddy on Monday convened a review meeting with top police officials in his chamber over the issue.
Talking to media persons after attending the security review meeting, Director General of Police K Aravinda Rao stated security at Assembly premises would be reinforced round-the-clock by personnel from the Special Task Force.
Security will be maintained even when the House is not in session, he said, with passes being issued to Assembly staff.
The DGP revealed that the issue will be studied in detail and a decision taken on how many personnel would be enough to ensure that no person or organization can breach the security net around the Assembly premises.
He added that the police department would also install sophisticated instruments to check the illegal entry of visitors and vehicles.
Reacting on the breach of security by teacher aspirants, Aravinda Rao revealed the police would conduct an enquiry into the issue and book the guilty.
The meeting was attended by Commissioner of Police A K Khan, the Home Secretary and the Intelligence IG.
