"Secretariat Shifting Bad Luck For Telangana"

Senior Congress leader Shankar Rao claimed he saw a dream whose interpretation meant that the shifting of the secretariat would bring bad luck for Telangana.
Hyderabad | 12th February 2015
While Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao wants to shift the state secretariat to Erragada citing "vaasthu dosham", senior Congress leader and former minister Dr P Shankar Rao is trying to prevent him by giving another superstitious reason.

Speaking to media persons in the Assembly premises, Shankar Rao claimed that he saw a dream in the early hours on Thursday whose interpretation meant that the shifting of the secretariat would bring bad luck for the entire Telangana state.

Although he did not explain that exactly he saw in his dream, he was firm on stopping KCR from shifting the secretariat.

He said that the shifting of the nearly 100-year-old building for commercial purposes would be bad for the new state.

With folded hands, Shankar Rao appealed to the Chief Minister to drop his plans to shift the secretariat. Calling KCR his younger brother, he said that the Chief Minister should listen to his appeal if he was willing to avoid bad luck for Telangana.

He said that the secretariat was visited by four Prime Ministers, and about 16 Chief Ministers and hundreds of ministers had functioned from the premises.

Shankar Rao said that the government should also drop its plans to shift the Chest Hospital building, and should just start a new Chest Hospital at Vikarabad. (INN)
