Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao inaugurated the new Telangana Secretariat complex today.
The CM occupied his chambers on the sixth floor after performing the rituals at 1:30 PM, and signed six important files. The first file signed by the CM was the one authorising the regularisation of contract employees.
Soon after the signing of the files, the CM received blessings from the priests present for the occasion, and was congratulated by the ministers, MLAs, MLCs, and Secretariat and government officials.
"I consider it a great blessing for me in this life to inaugurate the new State Secretariat. This kind of opportunity comes very rarely in history, and fortunately I am now a part of this celebration," KCR said on the occasion.
He added that the villages of Telangana too were glowing like the new building, and that the new structure was the symbol of the reconstruction of Telangana.
Earlier, before entering the building, the Chief Minister was accorded a grand welcome by the priests at the main entrance gate. He performed some rituals at the gate, and later took part in the Poornahuti Homam held on the premises of the complex.
The ministers and senior Secretariat officers, including Chief Secretary Shanthi Kumari, also occupied their respective chambers after the Chief Minister completed the formalities.
