SCR RPF Rescues 10 Child Trafficking Victims, Five Arrested
The Railway Protection Force successfully rescued 10 child trafficking victims and detained five traffickers on February 10 in Secunderabad.

The Railway Protection Force (RPF), Secunderabad Division, South Central Railway, successfully rescued 10 child trafficking victims and detained five traffickers on February 10.
The operation was conducted in collaboration with the NGO Bachpan Bachao, and was based on intelligence generated from continuous data analysis by the RPF's Cyber Cell.
On February 10, the RPF escorted Train No 18045, East Coast Express, from its starting point within SCR jurisdiction at Khammam, and conducted targeted raids from Khammam to Secunderabad. The operation was carried out by the Anti-Human Trafficking Unit (AHTU) of the RPF Secunderabad, and involved keeping a close watch on suspected coaches to identify and pinpoint the seats and coach numbers of the traffickers.
The victims and traffickers were coming from West Bengal, Uttar Pradesh and Bihar. Upon the train reaching the Secunderabad Railway station at 6:18 pm, the accused were held and forwarded to the GRP/SC for further legal action.
The RPF appealed to the public to report any activities resembling human trafficking. It said that
As a result of these efforts, the RPF has been successful in rescuing hundreds of victims of human trafficking and arresting numerous traffickers under Operation AAHT. In 2022, RPF Secunderabad rescued 23 children under Operation AAHT.
