Special Public Prosecutor for the CBI K Surendra, on Monday, completed his arguments on the charges to be framed against the 10 accused in the multi-crore accounting fraud in Satyam Computers, before the XXI Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate.
Surendra had begun his arguments last week, when he had produced important documents and critical evidences before the Court to substantiate the CBI's charges that the 10 accused were involved in the accounting fraud.
The Special Public Prosecutor requested the Court to dismiss the discharge petitions filed by the accused in the case - B Ramalinga Raju (founder and former chairman of Satyam Computers) and 9 others. He accused the 10 of falsifying records and fabricating documents to conspire against the investors of the company.
The 3 charge-sheets filed by the CBI accuse the 10 of criminal conspiracy, cheating, forgery and falsification of accounts of the company.
The hearing in the case was adjourned to September 15th, to enable the defence lawyers present their case before Magistrate B V L N Chakravarthi.
Justice Chakravarthi ordered Surendra to give the gist of his arguments to the defence team, so that the team can prepare its arguments.
