The Central Bureau Of Investigation (CBI) on Sunday revealed that it had received responses from the authorities in the United Kingdom and Singapore to the 'Letters Rogatory' it had sent to 6 countries for judicial assistance in probing the sensational accounting fraud at Satyam Computers.
According to a national media house, a CBI official had revealed that the U K and Singapore had responded positively to the Letters Rogatory issued by the special court conducting the trial of the 10 accused in the accounting fraud.
Letters Rogatory is a formal request sent by a court to a court in another country requesting judicial assistance.
The CBI special court had sent the letters to 6 countries - USA, UK, Belgium, British Virgin Islands, Mauritius and Singapore.
The Letters Rogatory had been sent seeking assistance in tracing the funds which are believed to have been embezzled by the prime accused in the case, B Ramalinga Raju.
The media house quoted the CBI official as expressing confidence that the other countries, too, would respond positively to the Letters Rogatory.
