Trio To Sign Trust's Cheques
The members of the Sri Sathya Sai Central Trust decided that 3 trustees, namely J Ratnakar, Venu Srinivasan and S V Giri, will sign the cheques of the Trust.
At a meeting chaired by former Chief Justice P N Bhagwati on Thursday evening, the members of the Sri Sathya Sai Central Trust decided that 3 trustees, not 2, would sign the cheques of the Trust.
The cheque-signing powers were handed to Baba's nephew J Ratnakar, Sathya Sai Organisation's National President Venu Srinivasan, and former Central Vigilance Commissioner (CVC) S V Giri.
However, it was decided that a cheque would be considered valid even if 2 of the 3 people signed it.
The members of the Trust are reported to have unanimously decided that Sri Sathya Sai Baba would remain the Chairman of the Trust, and that the trustees would take turns in chairing meetings convened by the trust.
This meeting, where the solutions to the Trust's major challenges were formulated, was attended by all the trustees, and the members of the Council of Management.
The trustees are yet to address the issues of the method and rituals of worshipping Sathya Sai Baba. The only good news for the devotees of Baba is that a life-size statue of Baba has been engineered, which will be placed upon Baba's shrine.
