Sanskriti Express At Secunderabad
Sanskriti Express, showcasing Rabindranath Tagore's life, is open for display at Secunderabad station.

'Sanskriti Express', the mobile exhibition special train being run in commemoration of the 150th Birth Anniversary of Nobel Laureate Gurudev Ravindranath Tagore, showcasing his life and philosophy, was opened for display at Secunderabad Railway Station on Tuesday.
The Exhibition Train will be open for public viewing till 1st October, 2010 from 10 am to 8pm each day, and the entry is free.
South Central Railway Additional General Manager Arun Bhagra opened the Exhibition Train and was the first visitor.
The 'Sanskriti Express' was flagged off by Minister for Railways, Mamata Banerjee, on May 9th, the birthday of Gurudev Rabindranath Tagore, from rail museum, Howrah.
This train will travel all over the country, touching important stations and terminate at Bolpur, West Bengal, on May 8th, 2011.
The mobile exhibition special train has 5 air-conditioned coaches, in which the life and philosophy of Gurudev Rabindranath Tagore have been presented.
The first coach is 'Jibon Smriti' - Life of Gurudev, depicted with his reminiscences in photographs; second coach is 'Gitanjali' – Poems and songs of Gurudev and other eminent artists; third coach is 'Muktodhara' – Literature of Gurudev; fourth coach is 'Chitrarekha' – Paintings of Gurudev and other eminent artists; and fifth coach 'Seshkatha' – Depiction of photographs of Gurudev's last journey and 'Smaranika' - Exhibition and sale of handicrafts from Shantiniketan.
As a part of the Exhibition, a cultural programme is being organized on Wednesday, at 4 pm, at Rail Nilayam Auditorium, Secunderabad.
The programme will see the rendition of 'Bharat Tirtha', a dance drama of Rabindranth Tagore by Sruti Performing Troupe of Kolkata. Besides this, other cultural programmes related to Rabindranath Tagore's works are also lined up as a part of the event.
