Sangareddy Sarpanch Urges KTR To Provide Protection
Makam Tirumala Vaasu told the minister that he was facing threats to his life because he had exposed a land scam in Sangareddy district.

A BRS sarpanch from Annaram village of Gummadidala mandal of Sangareddy district, Makam Tirumala Vaasu, today urged Industries Minister K T Rama Rao to provide security to him as he was facing threats to his life from his enemies.
He told KTR that he was facing the threats because he had exposed a land scam in Sangareddy district.
Addressing media persons, Vaasu alleged that some land sharks were trying to encroach a piece of government land located in S No 261 of the village, and that the encroachers had joined hands with the local revenue and other department officials to commit the crime.
He said the survey number had a total of 588 acres of land whose cost was Rs 1,000 crore in the open market, and that the plots in the land were allotted to poor people, retired Army personnel and farmers. However, the authorities were removing the names of the eligible farmers from the Dharani portal and including the names of loyalists of the land sharks, he alleged.
He said that he had lodged a complaint on the issue with the State Lokayukta against the local administration. He said that he did not agree to the proposal of the district Collector in response to his complaint, and that angered at that the Collector had suspended him from his post, and that he had been receiving threats ever since.
He urged Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao and Minister K T Rama Rao to intervene in the issue, and provide protection to him and his family members.
