Expelled Congress MLA S A Sampath Kumar expressed his unhappiness with the Congress Legislature Party (CLP) saying that the latter had not done the needful for him though the High Court's verdict had come in favour of Komatireddy Venkat Reddy and him.
CLP Leader K Jana Reddy conducted a meeting at his residence on Saturday, which was attended by TPCC chief N Uttam Kumar Reddy, MLAs Bhatti Vikramarka, S A Sampath Kumar, T Jeevan Reddy, Padmavathi and Vamshichand Reddy, MLCs Akula Lalitha and Ponguleti Sudhakar Reddy and others.
It is learnt that in the meeting Sampath Kumar expressed his unhappiness with the CLP leadership saying that it had failed to mount pressure on the government to fully reinstate his privileges as an MLA.
According to sources, Kumar said that he was not in a position to roam among the people due to the CLP's attitude. He said that the CLP had failed to meet the DGP in regard to restoring the gunmen allotted to him before the suspension.
The CLP is said to have taken note of Kumar's protest, and to have said that it would meet the Speaker S Madhusudhana Chary, the DGP and the Chief Secretary, and hand over a copy of the verdict to them asking them to restore Kumar's and Komatoreddy's gunmen.
Some leaders are also learnt to have expressed their unhappiness with the CLP meeting being held at a residence. They questioned how it was proper for the CLP to conduct its meeting at the CLP leader's residence when it was questioning the Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao about not coming out of Pragathi Bhavan. Some MLAs apparently directly said this to Jana Reddy.
