Senior Congress leader and former MLA Sampath Kumar today lodged a complaint with AICC in-charge Meenakshi Natarajan against Nagar Kurnool MP and Chairman of the TPCC Disciplinary Committee, Dr Mallu Ravi.
Kumar accused Ravi of acting against party interests by associating with BRS MLA Vijeyudu.
Kumar said that such behaviour could significantly damage the party's image, and called for immediate action, urging Natarajan to reprimand Ravi for actions perceived as detrimental to the party and to ensure that he aligned with the party principles.
In his complaint, Kumar also said that the previous BRS government had misled the public with unfulfilled promises - Rythu Bandhu for farmers, Dalit Bandhu for Dalits, and job assurances for the youth in every family.
"There is a great danger in associating with BRS leaders. Congress leaders must recognise this and respond accordingly. During the ten years of the BRS rule, their leaders exploited the State and amassed vast amounts of money. Maintaining friendly ties with such party leaders is harmful. It also sends the wrong message to Congress workers. Those who associate with BRS should reconsider their stance - if not before, then at least now," he added.
