CM Reviews Strike Situation
In the wake of the Seemandhra employees' strike, the CM directs the Chief Secretary to make alternative arrangements for essential services for citizens.

Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy reviewed the situation arising out of the government employees' strike in AP, including attendance of employees, alternative arrangements made for citizens and emergency services, with Chief Secretary Dr. P K Mohanty and other senior officials at the Secretariat, on Tuesday.
The Chief Minister directed the Chief Secretary to closely monitor the situation and make alternative arrangements for essential services like electricity, water, health, transport and civil supplies. In particular, he directed the E.O., TTD, and the Chittoor Collector to make alternative transport arrangements for pilgrims travelling to Tirumala.
Following his directions, the Chief Secretary reviewed the situation with Principal Secretaries and other top officials of the departments of Energy, Municipal Administration And Urban Development, Finance, Revenue, Roads & Buildings, Panchayat Raj, Transport, Civil Supplies, Health, Social Welfare, Tribal Welfare, Education, Police and APSRTC.
He also directed the RTC to make alternative arrangements, particularly for pilgrims at Tirumala.
He stressed on the need to maintain essential supplies, to make available power, water, health services and transport to people so that lives are not affected.
He also asked the Health Department to see that all government hospitals work normally, and that patients are attended to and emergency operations are conducted. (INN)
