The health of the famous singer, who has been infected by the novel coronavirus, deteriorated at the Chennai-based MGM Hospital.

The health of famous singer S P Balasubrahmanyam, who has been infected by the novel coronavirus, deteriorated at the Chennai-based MGM Hospital.

He was admitted to the ICU facility of the hospital, and put on life support, last night.

The authorities of the hospital released a health bulletin on the singer's condition today. They said that he was being continuously observed by an expert team of critical care specialists. They also said that his haemodynamic and clinical parameters were being constantly monitored.

Balu, as he is fondly known, was admitted to the hospital with Covid-19 symptoms on August 5.
