The Andhra Pradesh government has spent Rs. 28,000 crores, so far, towards free power, and has sanctioned 75,000 agricultural connections.
It will hold a high-level meeting on Tuesday, to review the situation.
The review meeting will discuss various issues, including the need to reach the targets fixed by the government, an official release said on Saturday.
The government has issued a 5-point program, which includes 7-hour power supply to agriculture.
DISCOMs have released around 75,000 agricultural connections, as against the targeted release of 1.5 lakh connections, the press note said, adding that the government has spent around Rs. 28,000 crores to free power alone for the economic development of farmers. (INN)
