Nine I T Projects For Hyderabad
Information Technology Minister Ponnala Lakshmaiah said that Hyderabad was likely to get I T projects worth Rs. 2,000 crores by March this year.

Information Technology Minister Ponnala Lakshmaiah on Thursday stated that government expected business of Rs. 2,000 crores to come to Hyderabad, with 9 I T projects in the pipeline.
Talking to media persons after releasing a brochure titled `Advantage AP - Annual I T Summit 2011' at Hotel Taj Krishna, Lakshmaiah stated that Hyderabad occupied 41st position worldwide as the most preferred IT destination, and held the 4th position within the country.
He revealed that the Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy would inaugurate the Advantage AP - Annual I T Summit to be held on March 1st and 2nd at Hyderabad International Convention Centre.
Lakshmaiah revealed that the conference would provide a forum for I T and ITES companies, I T Infrastructure, developers, academic institutions, governments and users of various industries to collaborate and leverage the enabling environment the state had to offer.
Revealing the whopping projections, the Minister said that a few I T companies had signed Memorandum Of Understanding with the governments of Mauritius and Poland to provide I T services, through which 9 projects worth Rs. 2,000 crores would come to the state government by March.
Lakshmaiah also revealed that in the financial year 2009-10, the state registered an export turnover of Rs. 33,482 crore contributing a significant 15% to the nation's overall I T exports. He said I T industry provided jobs to 15,000 youth this year against 12,000 last year.
The Minister also pointed out that Hyderabad had also topped NASSCOM's list of super 9 I T and ITES destinations in the country.
Principal Secretary (I T and C) Ratna Prabha stated the state continued to maintain high growth rates in the I T sector.
Ratna Prabha added that the government would offer special incentives to set up I T industry in tier II and tier III cities including Visakhapatnam, Tirupati, Vijayawada, Kakinada, Nalgonda and Warangal.
