A team from the Dutch company Royal DSM is exploring the possibilities of opening its back office and I T support centre in Hyderabad.
The team met the I T Minister Ponnala Lakshmiah at his chambers in the Secretariat on Wednesday, and discussed the modalities and methods in this regard.
Lakshmaiah disclosed that the company, which had a turnover of US $ 10 billion, had 22,000 employees on its pay rolls, with a manufacturing unit already set up in Pune near Mumbai.
The proposal to set up an I T support services centre will be first of its kind outside Netherlands.
In a presentation, the government informed them of the benefits of setting up their operations in Hyderabad in terms of state of the art I T infrastructure, and orbital and radial road networks.
Extending full support to their unit here, the Netherlands team, headed by CFO and Member of the Board of DSM Group Schwalb, was invited to make full use of the infrastructure here.
