Rs 9.98 Crores Missing From ATM Cash Handler Firm
A company engaged by banks to collect cash from them and deposit it in ATMs, discovered that two of its employees had been swindling the cash collected.
A whopping Rs 9.98 crores in cash has been found missing by an ATM cash handling firm.
RCI Cash Management Private Limited, a company engaged by banks to collect cash from them and deposit it in ATMs, discovered on Friday that two of its employees had systematically been not depositing cash collected, and that the discrepancy between what they claimed they had deposited and what was actually deposited was Rs. 9.98 crores. The employees, Lokesh Reddy and Praveen, were not reachable for 1-2 days.
Immediately, RCI Cash Management alerted the Tukaramgate police. The police have launched a manhunt for the duo.
