Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu today announced a reward of Rs 2.5 crore, a Group I post and a 1000-square-yard residential plot for women's cricket World Cup-winning team member Sree Charani.

Charani met Naidu and minister Nara Lokesh at the camp office. Both the CM and Lokesh congratulated her on her achievement, and said that India's World Cup victory showcased the strength and talent of Indian women to the world.

On the occasion, Charani and former Indian women's cricket captain Mithali Raj presented a T-shirt signed by the team members to the CM.

Earlier, Charani received a grand welcome at the Vijayawada airport from ministers Vangalapudi Anitha, S Savita and Gummadi Sandhyarani; Andhra Cricket Association president Kesineni Shivanath; secretary Sana Satish; and SAAP chairman Animini Ravinaidu.
