CM Pays Tribute To Indira Gandhi
It's Indira Gandhi's death anniversary, and Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel's birth anniversary as well.

Chief Minister K Rosaiah, on Sunday, paid tributes to former prime minister Indira Gandhi on the occasion of her death anniversary, also observed as 'Anti-Terrorism Day'.
Rosaiah, along with other Congress leaders, observed a 2-minute silence as a mark of respect to the departed leader at the late prime minister's statue at Necklace Road Junction. Earlier, Rosaiah had offered floral tributes to her Gandhi's statue.
Rosaiah then proceeded to the Police Control Room, Public Gardens, where he garlanded the statue of former Deputy Prime Minister Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel on the occasion of his birth anniversary. He was accompanied by Pradesh Congress Committee president D Srinivas and other senior Congress leaders.
Later, at Gandhi Bhavan, Rosaiah, along with D Srinivas, Union Minister of State for Human Resources Development Daggubati Purandareswari, Health Minister Danam Nagender, Irrigation Minister Ponnala Lakshmaiah, Mayor Banda Kartika Chandra Reddy, Members of Parliament Anjan Kumar Yadhav, Harsh Kumar, V Hanumanth Rao and others, offered floral tributes to former prime minister Indira Gandhi and former deputy prime minister Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel.
Addressing the gathering at Gandhi Bhavan, he recalled the contributions of Indira Gandhi to the nation. He stated that Gandhi was like a modern day 'Apara Durga', who used patience and intelligence to solve all the problems she faced. The Chief Minister pointed out that her leadership was praised by former prime minister A B Vajpayee, who was her political opponent.
Recalling the former prime minister's love for the Telugu people, Rosaiah said that Gandhi never hesitated to solve any problem of the Telugus if they were brought to her notice.
He said that Gandhi never yearned for power but only sought to work for the welfare of the people.
The CM also recalled the contribution of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel to the integration of the country after it attained independence from British rule.
He said that Sardar Patel was instrumental in uniting the 592 princely states into one country. He said that his birth anniversary should be celebrated as a festival from Kashmir to Kanyakumari.
Rosaiah stated that Sardar Patel was able to give India its own identity as a united, yet diverse country among the nations of the world.
