Apologize For Vadra Allegations: CLP To Kejriwal

The Congress Legislature Party says that Arvind Kejriwal and Shanti Bhushan must tender an unconditional apology for leveling "baseless charges" against Robert Vadra.

The Congress Legislature Party, on Saturday, demanded that Arvind Kejriwal and Shanti Bhushan tender an unconditional apology for leveling "baseless charges" against Robert Vadra, Sonia Gandhi's son-in-law.

Talking to reporters at the Congress Legislature Party office, government chief whip Gandra Venkataramana Reddy opined that Vadra was being targeted simply because of his relationship with Sonia Gandhi's family. He demanded that instead of leveling mere allegations, Kejriwal should prove his allegations with substantial evidence.

Venkataramana Reddy also slammed Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi for alleging that Sonia Gandhi had spent Rs. 1,800 crore on her treatment abroad. Dismissing these allegations, he said that Modi was trying hard to make headlines by targetting Sonia Gandhi.

He said that Modi was afraid of his political fate in view of the response that Sonia Gandhi has been getting in her rallies, and that Modi and the BJP leadership were resorting to personal attacks on Sonia Gandhi in order to divert attention. (INN)
