Revanth Reddy Takes Oath As Telangana Chief Minister
Congress Legislative Party leader Revanth Reddy was sworn in as the new Chief Minister of Telangana at the L B stadium in Hyderabad today.

Congress Legislative Party leader A Revanth Reddy was sworn in as the new Chief Minister of Telangana at the L B stadium in Hyderabad today.
Governor Tamilisai Soundarajan administered the oath of office and secrecy to Reddy amidst thousands of people.
A total of 11 Congress MLAs, including Uttam Kumar Reddy, Komatireddy Venkat Reddy, Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka, Seethakka (D Anasuya), Ponnam Prabhakar, Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy, Thummala Nageswara Rao, Konda Surekha, Damodar Raja Narasimha, Sridhar Babu and Jupalli Krishna Rao were sworn in as cabinet ministers along with Revanth Reddy.
Soon after taking oath, Revanth Reddy signed the first file providing legal sanctity to the six guarantees promised by the Congress during the elections. He also signed the appointment letter of the differently-abled person K Rajini who he met on the campaign trial and promised a job if he came to power, and handed it over to her.
Earlier, Reddy reached the stage in a special vehicle along with Congress leader Sonia Gandhi amidst the cheers of Congress workers.
The ceremony was attended by the Gandhi family - Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi Vadra - Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge, Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister D K Shivakumar and Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu.
Congress activists in large numbers from all parts of the State also thronged the stadium to witness the ceremony.
Meanwhile, Prime Minister Narendra Modi congratulated Revanth Reddy, and assured his full support to Telangana's progress.
