Chief Minister Revanth Reddy today asked why BRS president K Chandrashekar Rao was not taking action against his party MLA Malla Reddy who was openly supporting the BJP's Malkajgiri MP seat candidate Etala Rajender.
Speaking at a press conference at his residence, the CM alleged that the BRS had a tacit understanding with the BJP for the Lok Sabha elections, and that that was the reason that KCR was not taking any action against Malla Reddy.
The CM also criticised KCR and his son K T Rama Rao for not speaking a single word against Etala Rajender during the election campaign, and alleged that they were indirectly working for the victory of the BJP in the Malkajgiri constituency.
"It's very surprising that KCR is targeting at the 100-day Congress government, leaving the ten years' BJP government at the Centre. Moreover, the BRS president is remaining silent on the issue of reservations even though Prime Minister Narendra Modi is planning to abolish the reservation system after the Parliament elections. KCR has mortgaged the interests of the BCs, STs and SCs to the Prime Minister for getting a bail for his daughter Kavitha in the Delhi liquor scam case," Reddy said.
The Chief Minister also urged the people not to support the BJP in the Lok Sabha elections as every vote for the saffron party would lead to the cancellation of reservations in the country.
"Upon the instructions of the RSS, the BJP is hatching conspiracies to amend the Constitution and abolish reservations in the country. BRS president K Chandrashekar Rao should disclose his stance on this," he said.
The Chief Minister said that the Congress government, if voted to power, would increase the reservations in proportion to the population, and that justice would be done to all sections of the people under the leadership of Rahul Gandhi.
He also said that unlike the previous BRS government which destroyed the economy by indulging in large-scale corruption, the Congress government in Telangana was following financial displine, and was also committed to waiving off farm loans of upto Rs 2 lakh by August 15.
