EC Directs Telangana ACB To Continue Interrogation
The Eelection Commission has asked the ACB to continue its interrogation of Revanth Reddy "vigorously" to bring to light all those involved in the scam.
Even as Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu was grappling with the fall-out of the note-for-vote case, the Election Commission of India today aggravated his troubles by directing the Telangana ACB to go ahead with the interrogation of Telangana TDP MLA Revanth Reddy in the case.
According to informed sources, the EC has written a letter to ACB Director General A K Khan to continue the investigation "vigorously" to unravel the truths and bring to light those involved in the note-for-vote scam.
ACB officials reportedly confirmed that they had received a letter from the EC directing them to take the case to its logical end and unravel the truth in the scam.
With this, the controversial issue has increased the discomfort of the Telugu Desam Party leaders.
The EC's letter to the ACB has given strength to Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao's bid to get his AP counterpart Chandrababu Naidu arrested.
The ACB has already served notices to two TD leaders S V Veeraiah and V Narender Reddy, and it grilled the latter today for several hours. (NSS)
