Telangana TDP working president A Revanth Reddy today attended the TDP politburo meeting held at NTR Trust Bhavan.
During the meeting, party senior leaders Motkupalli Narasimhulu and Arvind Kumar Goud reportedly asked Reddy about his meeting with Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi. They wanted to know whether Reddy had indeed met Rahul Gandhi, sources said. They reportedly also asked him about his allegations against Andhra Pradesh ministers. Later, Narasimhulu and Goud apparently left the meeting in the middle. It was said that they were unhappy with Reddy's responses.
The meeting was also attended by senior leaders Ravula Chandrasekhar Reddy, Peddi Reddy, Revuri Prakash Reddy, Nama Nageshwar Rao and others.
However, Telangana TDP senior leader and politburo member Ravula Chandrasekhar Reddy rejected reports that the issue of Revanth Reddy was discussed in the meeting. Ravula said that the issue of Revanth Reddy was not even raised in the meeting. He also said that Motkupalli had not walked out of the meeting, and had left only after the meeting.
He said that the TDLP meeting would be held on October 26 to chalk out a strategy to be adopted in the Assembly. Revanth had promised that he would attend the TDLP meeting, Ravula said. The party general body meeting would also be held shortly which would be attended by party president and AP CM Chandrababu Naidu, he added.
Meanwhile, Lokesh Naidu, TDP general secretary, minister, and son of Chandrababu Naidu, is camping in Hyderabad in view of reports that Reddy is going to join the Congress. He is likely to meet Telangana TDP leaders and discuss the developments.
