In another jolt to the Telangana TDP, former MLA Vem Narender Reddy, too, tendered his resignation to the TDP primary membership following in the footsteps of Revanth Reddy a few hours after the resignation of the latter.
There were rumours that Vem Narender Reddy, too, had met AICC vice-president Rahul Gandhi along with Revanth Reddy a few days ago. Narender Reddy had also accompanied Revanth Reddy after the latter's outburst on other TTDP leaders, and had also received notices from the ACB in connection with note-for-vote case. In this context, political analysts expected that Narender Reddy, too, would join the Congress along with Revanth Reddy.
Rumours are also agog in political circles that about 20 TTDP leaders will join the Congress along with Revanth Reddy whenever the latter joins the Congress, among them being party district presidents and constituency in-charges.
Vem Narender Reddy from Warangal, Gandra Satyanayarana Rao from Bhupalpally, politburo member Uma Madhava Reddy and her son Sandeep Reddy, Kancharla Bhupal Reddy and Nannuri Narsi Reddy from Nalgonda district, and Patel Ramesh Reddy from Suryapet district are likely to join Congress along with Revanth Reddy.
