Telangana Chief Secretary Somesh Kumar today asked Nalgonda district Collector, Prashanth Jeevan Patil, to resolve the long-standing land issues in five villages of the district's Thirumalagiri Sagar mandal.
Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao, during his tour of the district on Wednesday, issued instructions to the concerned officials to resolve the land issues plaguing the five villages in Thirumalagiri Sagar mandal.
Following this, a meeting was conducted by Energy Minister G Jagadish Reddy and Somesh Kumar today, where the matter was discussed with CIG V Seshadri, Special Secretary (Finance) Ronald Rose, and Nalgonda Collector Prashanth Jeevan Patil.
The attending officials were then asked to address the land issues in the five villages at the earliest.
During the meeting, it was decided that the Collector would immediately undertake a land survey across the 3,495 acres of Nellikal, Chintalapalem, Tunikinootala, Jammanna Kota and Yellapuram (Sunkishala Thanda) villages, after which a list with the relevant land enjoyment details would be circulated in the villages so that any objections and problems could be dealt with.
Pattas and Pattadar Passbooks will be issued to the eligible landholders following the survey.
It was also decided that the entire exercise was to be completed within a week as this would benefit about 1,700 poor farmers by enabling them to get official land documents for their properties, and avail themselves of the benefits of the Rythu Bandhu and Rythu Bheema schemes for farmers.
