Congress MP Komatireddy Venkat Reddy today claimed that the Chief Minister of the State K Chandrashekar Rao had made all-out efforts to have an alliance with his party, and that the alliance could not materialize as their party high command did not agree to the proposal of the CM.
He also claimed that the Congress would form the next government in Telangana after the next Assembly elections.
Slamming the CM as is his wont, Reddy also made a litany of allegations. He asked the CM what he had done for the people of Nalgonda district (Reddy represents the Bhongir constituency of Nalgonda in the Lok Sabha), and claimed that the CM had not completed the irrigation projects of Nalgonda district due to a grudge against him.
He also alleged that farmer welfare was nowhere among the CM's priorities, and that KCR had completed the Kaleswaram lift irrigation project only to earn commissions and not out of any love for the farmers. KCR's apathy for farmers was quite clear from the fact that no paddy procurement centres were set up in 70% of the villages of the State, he claimed, and added that the farmers of the State were on the verge of committing suicides due to the delay in the establishment of the procurement centres.
Another point of serious pain to the farmers was the Dharani portal created by KCR, he said, and vowed that the Congress would shut the portal down after coming into power.
