Republic Day Celebrated With Fervor Across State
At the Parade Grounds' Republic Day celebrations, tableaux by government departments highlighted the development and welfare schemes in the state.

The 65th Republic Day was celebrated with patriotic fervor across Andhra Pradesh with the tricolor being unfurled and sweets being distributed, besides playing of patriotic songs and garlanding the photos of national leaders Mahatma Gandhi, Dr. B R Ambedkar and Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru.
At the main function held at the Parade Grounds, Governor E S L Narasimhan unfurled the national flag, and saluted the parade which was impressive.
Tableaux by government departments highlighted the development and welfare schemes in the state.
Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy, Speaker Nandendla Manohar, ministers, officials and non-officials participated in the programme.
Andhra Pradesh legislative Council Chairman Dr. A Chakrapani unfurled the national flag at the Council, while Speaker Nadendla Manohar hoisted the tri-colour at the Assembly premises.
At Gandhi Bhavan, headquarters of Congress party, the national tricolour was unfurled by PCC President Botsa Satyanarayana.
The day was also celebrated at the offices of the Telugu Desam Party, the YSR Congress Party, the Telangana Rashtra Samithi, the Bharatiya Janata Party and the Left parties.
Patriotic fervour marked the celebration in all 23 districts of the state. (INN)
