Rayala-Cong Leaders Miffed At No MLC Nominations

Congress leaders of the Rayalaseema area are particularly perturbed with its state party heads for having neglected to nominate leaders from the region for the MLC posts.

The leaders, who expected around 3 MLC posts for the region, are chafing at what they call the injustice done to them in not nominating a single person, in either of the MLA and Governor quotas.

They accuse Chief Minister Kiran Kumar Reddy and PCC Chief Botsa Satyanarayana of having pushed their cronies up for MLC posts, and of showing a marked partiality towards leaders from Telangana and Coastal Andhra regions.

Expressing their intention of resigning from the party as they get no recognition for their work, the leaders wondered at Congress apparently not wanting to strengthen its base in Rayalaseema, especially when the presence of the YSR Congress is very prevalent there.
