Telangana Political Joint Action Committee chairman M Kodandaram, on Thursday, stated that Telangana leaders would not ready to accept the proposal of a Rayala Telangana as proposed by a section of Telangana and Rayalaseema Congress leaders.
Talking to media persons after chairing a JAC Steering Committee meeting at his office, Kodandaram asserted that no solution other than a separate Telangana os acceptable to the people of the region.
Taking a serious note on a section of Telangana Congress leaders
pitching for Rayala Telangana to the Centre, he called them "traitors", and said that the people of the region would not pardon them. He exhorted people to burn effigies of Congress leaders at their respective constituencies for trying to dilute the statehood agitation.
He said that the people of Telangana demand a separate state with 10 districts only from the region, and that they do not want a merger of districts in Rayalaseema to form Rayala Telangana.
Kodandaram said that the JAC would convene an elaborate meeting with all leaders on 7 July to chalk out a strategy to be adopted towards achieving a Telangana state. (INN)
