BC Welfare minister Basavaraj Saraiah, on Saturday, said that he hopes that the Centre announces its decision on the formation of a Telangana state, in the first week of August.

Talking to reporters in Hyderabad, Saraiah said that Telangana leaders would insist for statehood for the Telangana region with Hyderabad as the capital. He added that the proposal of a Rayala-Telangana is not acceptable. (INN)
