Telangana minister Seethakka today launched a scathing attack on the BRS leadership, accusing them of enacting dramas in the name of Deeksha Diwas.
She alleged that while the BRS celebrated the event for just one day during its rule, it was misleading people now with a 10-day campaign.
Questioning the BRS' decade-long governance, Seethakka demanded that the party explain what development it had achieved in those 10 years. She said that in contrast the Congress government, despite being in power for only two years, had rolled out numerous welfare schemes, attracted investments and initiated key projects.
She also alleged that the BRS had extended the Deeksha Diwas to 10 days only to counter the Congress government's outreach programs. She also criticised the KCR family, claiming they benefited hundreds of times after Telangana statehood.
Recalling a previous case filed by the BRS against her colleagues and her for demanding COVID-19 treatment under Aarogyasri, Seethakka said that the protest was for the poor, not politics. She said that the arguments presented by lawyers Naguluri Krishna Kumar Goud, Narendra Kurma and S S Rao had led the court to adjourn the case to December 18, and expressed confidence that justice would prevail.
