BRS leader Rakesh Reddy today criticized the Congress-led State government, claiming that the party was facing a crisis.
Speaking to media persons, he alleged that wherever there were Congress governments, economic crises happened.
Reddy also said that under the Congress government the entire real estate sector in the State had collapsed, with "to-let" boards being displayed across Hyderabad. He also expressed concern over the decline of the textile industry and the collapse of the tourism sector.
He further claimed that gram panchayat workers had not received their salaries for nine months, and that outsourced employees in SC/ST hostels remained unpaid.
Rakesh Reddy pointed to CM Revanth Reddy's letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi as evidence of a growing rift between the State and union governments.
"Revanth Reddy admitted that only Rs 18,000 crore has been waived off, and the government has spent just Rs 8,000 crore on development funds," he claimed. He also added that the Congress had failed to provide any substantial assurance to farmers.
He claimed that the State was in an economic emergency, and accused the Chief Minister of leading the State toward disaster. "It's Revanth Reddy's mind that needs cleansing, not the Musi river," he said.
He also alleged that the CM had colluded with the contractors involved in the Musi river project and demanded that Revanth Reddy convene an all-party meeting to address the issue.
