Heavy rains, accompanied by lightning and thunder, lashed several places in the Telangana capital this afternoon for the second day in a row.

Heavy rains, accompanied by lightning and thunder, lashed several places in the Telangana capital this afternoon for the second day in a row.
As predicted by the weather department, it rained at several places on Sunday. Hayathnagar, Vanasthalipuram, L B Nagar, Uppal, Nagole, Ramanthapur, Amberpet, Tarnaka, Secunderabad, Musheerabad, RTC cross roads, Chikkadpally, Himayathnagar, Ramnagar, Vidyanagar, Khairatabad, Punjagutta, Secunderabad and Moula Ali were some of the areas that received rainfall.
At several places, the roads were inundated with rain water causing traffic jams for some time.
The weather office said that thunderstorms accompanied by squalls were likely in parts of Telangana during the next 48 hours.
On the flip side, due to unseasonal rains for two days continuously, the weather suddenly turned pleasant (well, somewhat) in the city.
